3D membrane press machine

Our advanced wood membrane press machine aim to achieve excellent standards in finished production, ensuring fast operational cycles, quick job changeovers, and unparalleled ease of use.

These objectives have been at the core of the design of our range of automatic membrane press, both air and liquid. These presses are specially designed to laminate 3D-shaped panels with thermoformable plastic sheets, including PVC, PPE, ABS, TRANSFER FOIL, and other materials.

Veneering applications encompass the production of kitchen or bathroom doors, drawers, countertops, doors, tables, desks, and more. The versatility of our membrane presses offers advanced solutions for a wide range of production needs.

3D membrane presses

Here is a description of some materials commonly used in the thermoforming process of 3D-shaped panels:

  • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride):
PVC is a widely used thermoplastic polymer known for its versatility, durability, and weather resistance. In the context of thermoforming, PVC can be used to create smooth, colored, and weather-resistant surfaces.
  • PPE (Polyphenylene Ether):
PPE is a thermoplastic polymer with heat-resistant properties and good chemical resistance. It is often used in applications requiring high thermal and electrical performance.
  • ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene):
ABS is a thermoplastic copolymer known for its toughness, impact resistance, and ease of processing. It is often employed in the production of automotive components, appliances, and consumer goods.
  • TRANSFER FOIL:
Transfer foil is a thin, flexible material used in thermoforming to impart a decorative layer onto the surface of the panel. It can feature various finishes, including wood effects, metallics, or other decorative patterns. Transfer foil often consists of a thin layer of decorative film coated with an adhesive layer.

Each of these materials offers specific characteristics that make them suitable for particular applications in thermoforming. The choice of material depends on the aesthetic, functional, and durability requirements of the finished product.

Automatic air press machine lines with PIN system (MATRIX)

The MATRIX with automatic pin pedestal system is the pinnacle of Italpresse’s range of air membrane presses. It is designed and engineered for the highest requirements in productivity, flexibility, and reliability. Its creation is the evolution of designing and manufacturing thousands of membrane presses since 1980.
