The production of 2 or 3-layer parquet is a complex process involving the creation of engineered wood flooring. The main stages of this process are:

1. Top Layer (Wear Layer):

   • Wood Selection: It begins with the selection of high-quality wood for the top layer, known as the wear layer. This layer is visible and plays a crucial role in the floor’s aesthetics.

2. Intermediate Layer (Core):

   • Composition of the Intermediate Layer: The intermediate layer, or core, is made from less expensive wood planks or recycled material. For 2-layer parquet, this layer is the only one beneath the wear layer. For 3-layer parquet, it may consist of crossed layers to enhance stability.

3. Bottom Layer (Backing):

   • Stability and Balancing: The bottom part, or backing, is designed to balance the upper layer and provide stability to the floor. It can be made with plywood or similar materials.

4. Pressing and Gluing:

   • Pressing Process: The layers are pressed and glued together under heat and pressure. This process creates a strong bond between the layers.

5. Cutting and Finishing:

   • Size Cutting: The formed block is cut to the desired dimensions for the production of individual parquet pieces.

6. Surface Finishing:

   • Application of Finishes: The parquet undergoes surface finishing treatments, such as varnishing or oiling, to protect the wood and enhance its appearance.
